The Little B Barn was opened at its present location in 1972, and over the years it came to be known as one of the best tack shops in Connecticut because of its impressive inventory of all things equine, and its knowledgeable and caring sales staff. JoAnn and Ron bought the Little B Barn on June 15, 2005. JoAnn won't tell you how many years have passed since she bought her first horse at the age of twelve, and Ron has loved horses all of his life. "Jo" and Ron closed the shop for two weeks for a badly needed "makeover", and on July 2, 2005, they opened the doors to the Little B Barn with an all new look, an all new and expanded inventory, and an all new enthusiasm that has spread like wildfire to its customers, old and new. Their passion for horses - and people - can be felt as soon as you walk through the door, and they have enlisted the help of family and close friends whose love of horses and people is the same as theirs.

Jo and Ron have stocked both floors of the store from wall to wall, so that if you walk in looking for something, you will walk out with it. If it exists and it isn't there (and that is pretty rare), they will get it for you. In addition, they offer custom saddle fitting by JoAnn, the service of in-store custom made show clothing by Denise (fittings by appointment), and in-store drop off for blanket repair and cleaning can be arranged by request. Ron will custom block and shape your new hat, or will resurrect your dead hat with a steamer, good hands, and TLC - a service that is not easily found anywhere else in the state.
